Thoughts While Shaving

December 1, WOW…..2018 is coming to a close and action is picking up….

Congratulations to Dr. Findt on his retirement at Bladen Community College, job well done.

Had the pleasure of attending retirement party for Sgt. Rodney Hester at the Bladen County Sheriff’s Department yesterday (Friday), well attended, family, friends, co-workers, very nice function.  Sgt. Hester retires after 30 years in law enforcement…

Many are frustrated by the actions of a few who bring shame to all in the county by attempting to ‘play games’ at election time, and that is not the Board of Elections or staff….it’s hoodlums who attempt to alter the outcome, for pay or for whatever the purpose.  I have a proposal, probably not legal, but my thought, forbid those who have no respect for the system to not be allowed to participate at all….If necessary, identify them and lock them up at key times during the process.  It appears to be the same individuals and organizations time after time that attempt to abuse the system.  They bring shame to all in the county.  And, that includes candidates and their supporters who support or encourage this type activity…..

Big day in Bladenboro today (Saturday), parade this AM and all are invited.

It’s not what’s under the Christmas tree that matters but who’s around it.

Christmas, my child, is love in action…..Every time we love, every time we give, it’s Christmas.  Dale Evans Rogers

Maybe Christmas he thought, ‘doesn’t’ come from a store.  Maybe Christmas…perhaps…means a little bit more!
