Bladen We Care 30th Anniversary Gala, well attended.  The Legacy Motown Revue provided the entertainment at Cape Fear Winery, Saturday evening.  Sponsor for the event was Smithfield Foods and the local BWC committee.
Bladen We Care Annual Golf Tournament will be held Thursday, April 25 at Vineyard Golf Course, White Lake.
For those unable to attend or participate in either event, who would like to make a contribution to the cause, mail donation/memorials to Bladen We Care, PO Box 1569, Elizabethtown, NC 28337.  Proceeds benefit local folks ‘falling thru the cracks in our healthcare system.’  $50,000 to $60,000 in grants for medical assistance, are shared annually with those in need.
Dublin Boy and Cub Scouts are holding a breakfast fundraiser today (Saturday) at Allen Brothers Hunting Preserve Clubhouse, 3062 Cabbage Road, Bladenboro.  (near Hickory Grove Baptist Church).  The hours are 7-10 AM.
Numerous other events are on the local calendar, including a celebration at Baldwin Branch Baptist Church by the Male Chorus, as they mark their 48th anniversary.  Other groups and individuals will participate beginning at 3 PM Sunday, April 14.
And coming soon to Elizabethtown Baptist Church “The Greatest Hits Live Tour”.  The date is April 27, 7 PM.  More later, there will be an admission charge.
NCAA March Madness decides the 2018-19 college basketball championship over the next few days.  Game today pits #5 Auburn vs #1 Virginia at 6:09 PM.  The second game tips off at 8:49 PM, #2 Michigan vs #3 Texas Tech.  The winners meet Monday at 9 PM for the championship.  March Madness at its best.  Games on CBS.
And, today in Bladenboro, The Spring Fling will be held downtown from 10 AM to 10 PM.  Fun, food and entertainment.  The Annual Spring Fling, always a ‘blast’.
