Thoughts While Shaving
Spread the love

Believe it or not, we are into the second quarter of 2021 … Hopefully, a little more freedom to get out and move around … Notice more cars at restaurants, especially in the evening time…

Check our Sports Page for results of high school sports. You got to love it, to continue updates, and John Clark does … does a good job of keeping up with those in school now and those from the area playing at the next level … Along that line of thinking, driving by Leinwand Park in Elizabethtown recently, noticed the peewees playing … brought back fond memories…

The weather folks were ‘on target’ with yesterday’s forecast … Today … A chance of showers before 10 a.m., then gradual clearing with a high near 59 … Windy, with gusts as high as 22 mph…

Tonight, mostly clear, with a low around 31 and windy. Tomorrow, sunny with a high near 50 and windy … Begins to warm up over the weekend, sunny and 81 by next Wednesday…

Careful … April Fool’s Day…

Great grandchild doing well, steady flow of pictures … Looking forward to seeing her … nearly 2 weeks old…

My bride and I enjoy taking a break from the normal routine and just go for a ride in the afternoon … enjoy traveling familiar roads as a youngster, remembering who boarded this bus at this house or that … wonder how they are doing, where they live, if they are living … Often, come home and get an old school annual out and spend some time scrolling thru … I know, bet you are wondering what we do for excitement … If you are lucky, one day you will understand … It’s what comes after retirement…

I am among men mostly richly blessed…

“It takes a very unusual mind to undertake the analysis of the obvious.” Alfred North Whitehead

“Sometimes the first duty of intelligent men is the restatement of the obvious.” George Orwell

“The obvious rule of efficiency is you don’t want to spend more time organizing than it’s worth.” Daniel Levitin
