Yesterday was an interesting day, weatherwise … some clouds, some sunshine and some rain, more rain slightly southwest of the official weather station at the Curt Brown Airport … Just typical scattered showers.
Saturday (today’s) forecast … Mostly sunny, with a high near 82, and a little breezy … Mostly clear tonight, with a low around 60 … Sunday, a chance of showers after 3 p.m., increasing clouds, with a high near 84, windy, gusts as high as 17 mph … 40% chance or rain…
Not sure I understand how a 21 year old National Guardsman had access to US classified documents … The young man apparently tapped into the source and shared it with others in his chatroom…
Easter holiday break is just about over for youngsters in school … Back to school come Monday…
I have mentioned corn-planting-time … Brought back memories of a mule or a horse … had one of each for several years … We would break the ears of corn off the stalk, make small piles in the shuck throughout the field, then hook the animal to a wagon, go into the field, load the corn and move to the barn … One of our animals would ‘balk’ from time to time … Just failed to move, look back, look ahead and just stand in the same place … As I grew older, I thought I saw some folks like that … Seemed to say … put as much as you so desire in the wagon, but I do not plan to move it … period…
One of the comments at the recent meeting at the local airport was that it was one of the least-used airports in the state … granted, it was and still is, being used by the military … And with the new managers and the new company teaching flying and maintenance of aircraft … when in full swing, the staff will be trained locally, and will lead to more and better use of the facility…
