Thoughts While Shaving for August 23

Didn’t it rain, children, didn’t it rain? … remember the tune from years ago. I realize in a thunderstorm amounts of rainfall vary greatly. At the Curtis Brown Airport … basically same time frame, just over an inch.

Rain washed out the final Summer Sound concert at Elizabethtown Farmers Market featuring Jim Quick and the Coastline Band … and a sad farewell to longtime chamber executive Dawn Maynard. Carolina Panthers lost to New England Patriots 10-3 in last night’s preseason game, played in Foxboro, Mass. Cam Newton saw limited action, after suffering a foot injury. The Panthers are 1-2 in preseason play.

And how ’bout the Oakland Raiders/Green Bay Packers game played in Canada? They played on an 80 yard field due to a Canadian League goalpost issue. Raiders 22, Green Bay 21.

“If you fail to prepare, you’re prepared to fail.” Mark Spitz

“Do you know what my favorite part of the game is? The opportunity to play.” Mike Singletary
