Thoughts While ShavingAnother weekend is here and the weather appears to be perfect today and should be for the next couple of days followed by rain the first of the week.  Enjoy…no grass to cut, a few limbs to be picked up and disposed of, but all in all, a great weekend.

The March Primary election appears to be a go for some offices, while a second election could be held later.  Congressional elections are on hold until the courts and NC Legislature can agree on the issue of re-drawing the district lines.  Personal opinion, (mine), the cure is worse than the sickness.  Inside the beltline, common sense tends to be defined differently.

The Wake County jury in the Travion Devonte Smith trial should begin deliberations the first of the week in the sentencing phase to determine whether he is sentenced to life in prison without parole or the death penalty.  Smith was found guilty of murder earlier this week in the death of Bladen County native Melissa Huggins-Jones.

If you are a political candidate in Bladen County and interesting in having your ad on BladenOnline, call Charlotte Smith at 910-876-5393.  She and the sales staff can assist.

A park ranger at Jones Lake will lead a discussion on ‘the black bear’ tomorrow beginning at 2 p.m.  It is free.  Meet at the Jones Lake State Park Visitor Center on NC 242 north of Elizabethtown.  Call 910-588-4550 for more info.

This should be a great weekend for NASCAR fans.

Just found the worst page in the entire dictionary.  What I saw was disgraceful, disgusting, dishonest and disingenuous.

How come you never see a headline like “Psychic Wins Lottery”?  Jay Leno

What should you do when you see an endangered animal eating an endangered plant?  George Carlin
