College championship game next weekend pits Alabama vs Ohio State.

More Bowl action for area college teams today…
12 PM: NC State vs Kentucky (Gator Bowl)
8 PM: UNC vs Texas A&M (Orange Bowl)

A full slate of NFL action this weekend…

Heard some have received stimulus $s … those I heard of were direct deposit, maybe some ‘snail mail’ … good either way…

Reminder … Property taxes due since September, penalties will be added as of January 5, 2021…

A reminder from the folks at Bladen County Solid Waste … All convenience centers will be open, operating on their regular schedule today … 7 AM – 7 PM. The Transfer Station will be closed today, will resume normal operations Monday, January 4th.

Temperature was 65 degrees at 6 AM today … at Curtis Brown Airport weather station … and 1/4 to 1/3 of an inch of rain fell overnight, depending on your location.

Today’s forecast, showers likely, mainly after 5 PM, wind gusts up to 15 mph and a 60% chance of rain. Tonight, 100% chance of rain with new precipitation amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible. Sunday, showers likely before 10 AM, gradual clearing with a high near 65 … west winds with gusts as high as 15 mph and a 60% chance of rain. Clear skies return Monday for the next several days…
