Thoughts While Shaving for January 26

Last week of the first month of a new year … time waits for no one…

National and state unemployment figures have been released. … In North Carolina, the rate for December was 3.7% of the workforce unemployed, nationally 3.5%. County figures will be released Wednesday, February 5th.

Still, more jobs than people seeking work. … Problem appears to find willing workers and match them up the jobs available. … Easier said than done…

As we begin the last week in January, quick check of New Year’s Resolutions…

Like this headline … “Forbes just ranked North Carolina as the #1 Best State in America for Business in 2019”.

Someone sent me a news release related to homeless folks in big cities and efforts by some to make warm, body length sleeping bag type clothing for those in need … and the homeless were assisting in the mass production. … Sounds like a good idea…

Looking ahead to February weather … for Bladen County…
Average high … 63 degrees compared with 54 in January…
Average low … 34 degrees compared with 33 and 3.6 inches of precipitation compared to 4.0 for January…

Sunday School and Worship Services throughout the area, today…

“No one’s ever achieved financial fitness with a January resolution that’s abandoned by February.” Suze Orman

“Feeling a little blue in January is normal.” Marilu Henner

Always believe something wonderful is about to happen…
