Today, sunny, with a high near 94, heat index as high as 100 … Tonight, partly cloudy, with a low around 74. Friday … A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3 p.m. Partly sunny with a high near 93 … Heat index as high as 105 and a 50% chance of rain.

Hot weather is expected to continue for a while … and a 40% to 60% chance of rain daily thru at least Tuesday of next week … maybe more … It’s a typical July in the area…

Had a nice shower early Wednesday … nearly a quarter of an inch at the local weather reporting station … between 8 and 9 a.m.
