Thoughts While Shaving for July 26

Remember when politics was ‘front page’ news for a short period of time, every couple of years? With the aid of the Internet (social media) and all the 24 hour news sources, it never ceases.

FTC fined Facebook an unprecedented $5 billion because of privacy breaches. The $5 billion fine is, according to some sources, about a month’s worth of revenue for Facebook.

From all we hear, Russians did attempt to interfere with the 2016 elections and will attempt to do the same in the 2020 election. Internet gives them access to all the info needed …. and we aid and assist when we forward info … truth or lie … without attempting to determine if ‘facts or fiction’ … ‘truth or untruth’.

Remember when Nikita Khrushchev, former Soviet leader issued a threat, “We will take America without firing a shot. We do not have to invade the U.S. We will destroy you from within.”

Ever check Snoops or Factcheck? I do occasionally … they are not know-it-all, but they know-more-than-the average ‘Joe’. I recently had a question … can’t remember, but had to do with a national issue and sent question and received an answer. Are they unbiased? Supposedly. … I don’t know. … Proceed with caution.

Just ramblin’, as usual … oops, need to keep my mind on shavin’…

Can’t believe July 2019 is coming to a close. Remember in late 1999 when we were told our computers may crash in 2000? Well … we have survived 19 years and nearly 7 months … still spreading some truth and some gossip. … May have been better off if they had crashed … not really.

Better an honest enemy than a false friend.

“My fake plants died because I did not pretend to water them.” Mitch Hedberg

“The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing. If you can fake that, you’ve got it made.” Groucho Marx
