Years ago, I mean many years ago we swapped labor, gathering tobacco, pulling peanuts, gathering corn, pickin’ cotton … When asked how he was doing, one elderly gentleman would reply … “reckon I am doing good, not so good or about the same.” I did not understand … but, I do now … some 65, maybe 70 years later … Guess you could say I am a slow learner … But, better late than never…

Someone shared info related to a 1,300 foot-long ship wedged in the Suez Canal, blocking traffic both ways … An article reported 9% or almost 3 million barrels of global oil shipments per day pass thru the Canal … Lloyd’s of London estimates the blockage is costing about $400 million per hour … Think you have problems … Not sure if it has been freed or not …. Someone is going to pay…

How about the weather? Yesterday was wonderful in Bladen and surrounding counties…

Forecast for today … A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 1 and 5 pm. Mostly cloudy, high near 85. Southwest wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30% … Tonight, mostly cloudy, with a low around 60 and wind in the 5 to 9 mph range.

Saturday and Sunday a little better chance of rain, but temps remaining mild for late March…
