Congratulations to Mac Campbell Jr … celebrating over 55 years in the fuel oil business in the area … Headquartered in Elizabethtown … Mac Jr. is also a big-time supporter of many local efforts, including Bladen We Care … that provides support for locals in the area falling thru the cracks in our local health care system … as well as many other do-good projects throughout the region…
I failed to mention MacKenzie Gore’s latest outing for the Washington Nationals baseball team … The Whiteville lefty had a good outing, but lost to the Marlins 4-3. The big blow was a 2-run homer off the bat of Jorge Soler in the 4th inning Wednesday … His ERA is 3.69 for the current year. He has recorded 58 strikeouts in 46 plus innings of work … His next outing is expected early next week against his former team, the San Diego Padres.
My siblings and I still get-to-gether weekly … the way Mom wanted it … But, like others we are growing older and some with more issues than others … but, all in all, we are a fortunate family … six siblings and all able to move around, most of the time, and enjoy good company and good food … I am among friends most richly blessed … Ages??? Glad you asked … mid 60s to mid 80s.
