Republicans and Democrats continue the debate … A default on debt would not be good.

ACC baseball tournament continues at Durham Athletic Park … New champ will be crowned Sunday if all goes as planned. Wake Forest is the top ranked team in the ACC, and, in fact, in the nation with a 45-9 record … Last night, the Clemson Tigers defeated Virginia Tech 24-5 for their 13th win in a row. Enjoyed meeting with a group of young adults on an educational tour of the county recently … Apparently a joint effort associated with the Elizabethtown-White Lake Chamber of Commerce … Another group of future Bladen County leaders … Impressive group … The group, a dozen or more, represented numerous areas of the county…

One year ago yesterday … Jim and Sue Schultz of Elizabethtown were killed in an auto accident in Virginia … Plans are underway to set up some type of an endowment fund to support the memory of the pair for years to come … They had 3 sons, all were very athletically involved in Bladen County high school sports … Google Golf Tournament to Benefit Jim & Sue Schultz Foundation … for more info…
