Yesterday’s low temp at the local weather station … 26 degrees, yesterday’s high 49 degrees.

Sunny, today, with a high near 60. Mostly clear tonight, low around 39. Friday, a 30% chance of rain after 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy with a high near 68 … Rain continues in the forecast thru Monday … range is from 30% to 70% … Best chance is Saturday night and Sunday…

Had an occasion to visit the new shopping center in downtown Bladenboro recently … first class … a couple of retail merchants plan to open this weekend … Wish all success…

I am always impressed with local, talented folks who are willing and able to build ramps for those who need them … Such projects ongoing around the county, helping the less fortunate to have a better chance of a quality lifestyle … Bladen Baptist men seem to be the most active … If you, like me, have no such talent … a few bucks can make a huge difference for those who are willing and able to use their talents to help others…

Folks living past 100 years of age in the news lately … A local resident was buried this past weekend, lived to be 100 … one of the nation’s wealthiest died earlier this week … Today’s announcement that former US statesman Henry Kissinger died in the past few hours. He was 100 years old…
