I was ‘plundering’ thru some old files and discovered a ‘Thoughts While Shaving’ from July 22, 2009. Actually, began to re-type this AM to share, but conditions were ‘bad’ and causes were apparently different from today … One thing that did ‘catch my eye’ was the final sentence … speaking about the economy, “If it grows to fast it’s a weed.”
Last week we had some really good days on the stock market, then a 3-day setback. Dow Jones dropped from 29,101 to 27,501 … Then yesterday, some upward movement … but more is needed…
I wish all political ads would be required to have a positive ‘spin’, no ads would be accepted by TV, newspapers or other forms if negative. Just dreaming! Only about 53 or 54 days remaining … before election … but who is counting? My prayer is the winner for president will be a ‘clear winner’ … And, hope the finals are not in doubt by a ‘foul up’ that is caused by any outside source, especially the US Postal Service.
All in all, little has changed over the past 10, 20, 30 years in the race for president.
