Who among us will ever forget September 11, 2001? The collapse of the World Trade Center in New York City. Two commercial airliners, hijacked by al-Qaeda, were deliberately flown into the New York twin towers and thousands were killed in one of America’s darkest days. Fatalities included occupants of the towers, firemen and others. Two other planes crashed … one flew into the west side of the Pentagon building in D.C. and another crashed in rural Pennsylvania … A dark day in American history.
