Have had questions related to places to find freshly boiled peanuts … I know there are locations … in Dublin and a site on US 701 near the NC Highway Patrol station … No doubt, there are others…

Remember when the Tobacco Festival, most closely associated with Clarkton, was rotated throughout towns in the county … Bladenboro and Elizabethtown … I just always think of it as the Clarkton Tobacco Festival … So many wonderful memories from the 50s, 60s and 70s…

COVID-19 still an issue, not just locally, but apparently around the world … Not sure I have ever seen so much controversy related to a disease…

As of Tuesday, September 14, 2021, Bladen County has had 88 deaths attributed to COVID-19 … 11 currently hospitalized and 4,717 who have recovered … As of the same date, 3,690 were hospitalized in the state, over 1.2 million have recovered and reported deaths was 15,305.

Label it anyway you care to, but hospitals and funeral homes are very busy…
