Thoughts While ShavingHigh School football tonight, West Bladen plays at St. Pauls and East Bladen has an open date.

A reminder of Fun Day in Bladenboro Historical Building tomorrow.

Lot’s going on in Bladen, problem is, some is not good.  Tends to come in spurts and the spurts are coming more often, so it seems.

We continue to hear about the need for an ‘overhaul’ of our tax system.  Who pays what at the local, state and national level.  A scary thought.

The first casualty of the recent sale of The Fayetteville Observer may be Earl Vaughan. The Duke of Earl is one of the all time great sports writers in this area and has been for mmmm, 40 years or more.  Understand Vaughan accepted a buyout, effective soon.  The Observer was recently sold to a conglomerate.  Will be interesting to see if he ‘pops up’ at another location.  No insight, just thinking out loud.  It is difficult to come to a sudden stop, I understand.

Wish I could remember all the issues I solved about 3 a.m. when I slept out.  Needed a pen and paper.  What was really needed was a full night’s rest.

Super Bowl or no Super Bowl, the Denver Broncos apparently have the Panther’s number.  Broncos 21, Panthers 20, last night.

Kim Jong Un, North Korean leader, continues to keep neighbors on their toes.  His latest adventure is apparently another successful testing of a nuclear warhead.
