The severe thunderstorm warnings that were issued earlier for Bladen County have been allowed to expire.

A line of severe thunderstorms moved through the county earlier in the afternoon with sharp lightning and heavy rainfall.

More rain is expected overnight and a 50 percent chance of rain on Thursday and 30 percent on New Year’s Day.

A dense fog advisory is also in effect until 7 p.m. tonight.
