Have you taken time recently to thank a lineman? If not, Monday, April 13, 2020 is National Lineman Appreciation Day, according to Four County Electric.
A lineman constructs and maintains electric power transmission lines and distribution facilities. Linemen make sure the power grids function properly, answer calls in all types of weather, and they troubleshoot for problems when the power goes off. Linemen are highly skilled and certified technicians who keep your electricity flowing to you home or business.
Local linemen have been working hard today due to the recent storms in our area. Four County Electric posted photos from Tar Heel and White Oak on their Facebook page of the day’s work cut out for their staff. Down tree limbs on power lines are just some of the duties these linemen take care of for their customers.
