Bladenboro, July 5, 2023- The Town of Bladenboro has announced that a special called meeting will take place on Thursday, July 6, 2023. The purpose of this meeting is to engage in a discussion surrounding attorney-client privileges. The meeting will be held at the Bladenboro Town Hall and will begin promptly at 6:00 pm.

Attorney-client privileges are crucial to legal proceedings, ensuring open and confidential communication between attorneys and their clients. This special meeting will allow the Town of Bladenboro to address specific matters related to these privileges and explore pertinent issues.

In addition to the special meeting, the Town of Bladenboro Commissioners will hold a regular meeting on July 10. The commissioners will discuss an important agenda item regarding the potential funding of a million-dollar capital grant. TOWN OF BLADENBORO, NC (POP. APPROX. 1,648) Located in southeast NC, Bladenboro is seeking resumes from qualified candidates for the Town Administrator/Finance Officer position. This position reports to the mayor and six commissioners. Desired candidate attributes include managerial, planning, coordinating and organizational skills, outstanding communication skills and solid decision-making skills. Duties include the day-to-day oversight of governmental operations, zoning, code enforcement, budget preparation, grant writing and administration, and other duties as the governing board assigns.  Prefer applicants with a master’s Public Administration specializing in Local Government or a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business; or equivalent combination of education or experience. Compensation including benefits is commensurate with experience and determined by governing board.
