The Bladenboro Water System in Bladen County experienced a period of no water pressure in the distribution system due to a major water break overnight beginning at 9:00p.m. Friday, October 9, 2020 until 7:00a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2020.
This period of no water pressure in the distribution system has increased the potential for back siphonage and introduction of bacteria into the water system.
Therefore, all water customers of the Water System in Bladenboro are advised to boil all water used for human consumption (including drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation) or to use bottled water for a period of forty-eight (48) hours from the issuance of this Boil Water Advisory.
Vigorous boiling for (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.
