Proposed Zoning Map Amendment, Town of Elizabethtown, North Carolina. Pursuant to N.C. G.S. 160A-364, 385 and 386, the Town of Elizabethtown will conduct a public hearing on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in a virtual format via Zoom. Town Council will consider the following:

Rezoning Request

Request: Rezone a parcel of land, identified by Bladen County PIN # 1311.00.79.1418, B-C Bypass Commercial to R-20 Low-Density Residential.

All interested citizens are invited to join the meeting. The April 19, 2021 Town Council meeting will be a Virtual Meeting; therefore, please check the Town’s website (www.elizabethtownnc.org) on April 19, 2021 for instructions to join the Zoom Meeting. Citizens desiring to speak on the rezoning request must submit written comments by addressing them to the Town Clerk Juanita Hester and placing them in the Town’s drive- thru drop-box at 805 W. Broad Street or by emailing the comments to jhester@elizabethtownnc.org. Written comments for the Public Hearing may be submitted at any time between the Notice of Public Hearing, which is Friday, April 9, 2021, and 24 hours after the public hearing has ended. Town Council will not be able to act on the public hearing matter immediately following the public hearing. Therefore, Town Council will be taking action on this matter at the May 3, 2021 Town Council meeting. Changes may be made in the advertised proposal that reflect information presented at the hearing.
