Proposed Special Use Permit, Town of Elizabethtown, North Carolina.  Pursuant to N.C. G.S. 160A-364, 385 and 386, the Town of Elizabethtown will conduct a public hearing on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Building.

Request: For a Special Use Permit to Construct a Family Cemetery.

All interested citizens are invited to join the meeting. The June 7, 2021 Town Council meeting will be a Virtual and In-Person Meeting; therefore, please check the Town’s website (www.elizabethtownnc.org) on June 7, 2021 for instructions to join the Zoom Meeting. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we ask that only members directly affected by the Special Use attend in-person or submit written comment. Please contact Town Hall before June 4, 2021 if you plan on speaking in-person to reserve your place in the meeting. Written comments for the Public Hearing may be emailed to Town Clerk Juanita Hester, jhester@elizabethtownnc.org, or by leaving written comment in an envelope in the Town’s drive-through drop box at 805 W. Broad Street. All citizens attending in-person are asked to wear a face covering and participate in social distancing guidelines. Other interested citizens may join the meeting virtually via Zoom. Due to the hearing being quasi-judicial, Town Council will be able to act on the public hearing matter immediately following the public hearing. Changes may be made in the advertised proposal that reflect information presented at the hearing.
