Turkey Plate Sale, Fall Festival and Traditions
Contributed by Bobbie Todd
Excitement is in the air once again at Dublin Primary School. There is nothing that goes together better than peanut butter and jelly, cornbread and molasses, apple pie and ice cream UNLESS you start talking about a Fall Festival with a Turkey Plate Sale with all the trimmings. This has been an annual tradition at Dublin Primary School for years until unforeseen circumstances prevented it.
On Thursday, November 10th, 2022, the annual tradition will return with the Turkey Dinner Plate sale beginning at 4:30 PM till 7:30 PM in the Dublin Primary School cafeteria.
Plates will consist of turkey breast, dressing, green beans, cranberry sauce, roll, dessert, and your choice of sweet tea or lemonade. You may dine in or take out. Plate prices are $13.00 each. Plates are on a presale ticket basis to ensure availability. We will have limited plate tickets for sale at the door, so get yours early. To purchase plates or get more info on the dinner, you may contact Brittany Lindsay at 910-876-2872.
Something fun for kids of all ages and adults are sure to be found at the Fall Festival that is being held in the Multi-Purpose Building behind the cafeteria in conjunction with the plate sale from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Games of all kinds with prizes, a cake walk, free face painting, and loads of fun are sure to be had by all. Wristbands for $5.00 will include free fairy hair and access to all games.
These may be purchased at the front entrance of the school. Purchase your raffle tickets at the front entrance as well for a chance to win some of the great items donated by our local merchants. Raffle tickets will be $1.00 each or $3.00 for 5. Cakewalk tickets will be $1.00 each and available for purchase on the stage in the Multi-Purpose Building. If you are interested in donating a cake for the cake walk you may contact the number below.
