The North Carolina Department of Transportation has issued an updated list of road openings and closings in Bladen County. The list is as follows:
CLOSINGS:
Center Road
Center Road is closed with a posted detour in both directions. Road is closed for bridge construction and miscellaneous roadway work. Is expected to be closed until July 3, 2018.
White-McEwen Road
White-McEwen Road is closed near Clarkton heading West and is expected to re-open June 13, 2018.
Mercer Mill Road
Mercer Mill Road has been closed since Monday, February 26th, to replace Bridge 32. The closing was anticipated to last for 120 days. It is located just North of the Rosindale Road intersection. It is currently posed at 5 tons.
ELWELL FERRY:
Is operating as normal as of June 6th, 2018.
