A webinar focused on helping local small businesses stay safe while re-opening their doors is being sponsored by the Elizabethtown – White Lake Chamber of Commerce and BCC Small Business Development Center. The webinar, “Protecting Your Business, Your Employers, and Your Customers During COVID” is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19 at noon.

“As we enter Phase I of recovery from COVID-19, businesses are challenged to re-open their doors while maintaining safety guidelines and protecting their customers, employees, and themselves,” Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Terri Dennison said. “We are hoping that business owners and managers join us for this lunchtime webinar to hear recent updates on combating the virus while learning practical things to do to keep everyone safe.”

Among the scheduled speaker is Dr. Terry Duncan, Director of the Bladen County Department of Health. Duncan will review the current health and safety guidelines. Dennison and Small Business Center Director Todd Lyden will review best practices and recommendations, followed by questions and answers.

There is no cost for the webinar, and it is open to the public. Registration for the webinar is required. Register through the BCC SBC webinar site or by calling 910-879-5572.

Dennison and Lyden are hoping that this is the first of a series of webinars to help small businesses through this difficult time.
