The White Lake Fire Department responded quickly to a house fire in Turtle Cove early Saturday morning, according to Mayor Goldston Womble. The house belonging to Billy and Dawn Pilland was hit by lightning and was a total loss. The Town of White Lake staff has information regarding the needs of the family if anyone would like to assist them in their time of need.
Billy, Dawn and their two sons, Jarad and Ayden, have lost everything, according to a GoFund Me page started asking for prayers and donations for the family.
Lisa Piland Matthews states on a GoFund Me page for the family, “We are asking for help with donations for basic needs, clothes, and other items that were lost in the fire. Hopefully we as a community can pull together for a family, that many times, have given so greatly to us. Thank you whole heartedly in advance for the donations and prayers – Lisa Piland Matthews”.
