A parade in the morning, music in the evening, a car show in the afternoon and plenty of activities and food are on Saturday’s schedule for the White Lake Water Festival.
The parade is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at Camp Clearwater and head toward U.S. 701. Performance areas are in front of the Grandstand at Town Hall and Goldston’s Beach.
The 45th White Lake Water Festival is dedicated to “Fun in the Sun.”
Saturday, May 20
8-11 a.m.: Breakfast at Lake Church sponsored by the Lake Church youth group.
8 a.m.-3 p.m.: White Lake Water Festival Car Show, Lake Church. Register between 8 a.m. and noon. $20 registration. For more information, call 910-872-1726.
9 a.m.-11 a.m.: White Lake Road will be closed for the parade.
10 a.m.: White Lake Water Festival Parade sponsored by Ski Burger, Sandy Bottom Taco & Rondavue Pizzeria. Parade starts at Camp Clearwater and heads towards US 701. Performance areas are in front of the Grandstand at Town Hall and Goldston’s Beach.
11 a.m.: Firemen’s BBQ and Chicken Plate Sale, White Lake Fire Department. $10 per plate.
11 a.m.-4 p.m.: Activities at Goldston’s Beach. Art & Craft Vendors, professional wrestling, face painting & clowns, music & entertainment.
Noon: Summer Fashion Show at Goldston’s Beach and Grand Regal Music State.
8-11 p.m.: The Pink Slips band, Goldston’s Beach & Grand Regal Music Stage.
The two-day festival opened Friday with the Elizabethtown Rotary Club golf tournament at Vineyard Golf at White Lake and a performance by The Band of Oz.
The White Lake Water Festival is presented by the Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.
