Despite having such a bad reputation, the trickster is a character who has refined and powerful knowledge.

The cheater character has been a significant focus in the studies of mythology and religion. It has also become the center of attention for outstanding literary and entertainment achievements.

The intellect of a trickster stores secrets, tricks, and blackmail. In most cases, scammers use tricks to break the rules. Some use these secrets to take advantage of other people. However, all seek to challenge “normal” behavior.

The cheats aim to use them to your advantage. However, this is not always negative. A certain degree of experience and skill is acquired in carrying out a trade or profession, something like tricks. These kinds of gimmicks or tricks serve for efficiency. From this point of view, each person has a certain degree of deception in their daily life.

The term trick comes from Europe. In some places like Italy, people use the word trucco to refer to a ruse. Globally, people associate tricks with cheating and makeup. Furthermore, the famous game of poker is also related to liars and tricks. By trying to trick the opponent and take advantage of him, the game leads the participants to use and fall for tricks.

Merriam- Webster Dictionary says that trickery is “the practice of crafty underhanded ingenuity to deceive or cheat.” Also, many dictionaries establish that the 15th century was the first known use of the word trick.

Some concepts similar to liar are:

  • Clown
  • Cheater
  • Fraudulent
  • Swindler
  • Joker
  • Impostor
  • Jester

On the other hand, some deceptive person antonyms are:

  • Philanthropist
  • Assistant
  • Altruistic
  • Humanitarian
  • Samaritan

The jesters have become central characters in the stories. According to old stories, jokers were distinguished by changing their appearance and form. The storytellers could use a jester in the tales to teach how to behave. In this context, the buffoons were mostly men open to doubt and against authority. Jesters used to make mistakes to teach what not to do.
