Thoughts While Shaving

What a beautiful day for any outdoor activity yesterday…and best I can tell, many Bladen County area residents were out and about….at fun events here and there and others tied up in traffic on West Broad Street in Elizabethown near Walmart and Food Lion…two of the main shopping centers in the area….guess it was an important task….

The Beast Fest in Bladenboro appeared to have the largest or one of the largest crowds ever…..Hopefully, other events well attended as well….and last night, numerous church events and at our house, while we were home, very few trick-or-treaters…..That is the reason I purchase good treats….We must dispose of what is leftover…and we begin today…

More rain on the way…..based on the latest forecast…..

Bladen Commissioners and Elizabethtown Town Council meet Monday…..

And municipal residents cast their votes for office holders on Tuesday….

A reminder, If you plan to run for county, state or national offices, you should be ready to make an announcement….Filing has been moved to December, (this December) and the election is in March, not in May as it has been for as long as I can remember…..

Time for our Google Analytic numbers today….and other than yesterday, from a news perspective…no earth-shattering events in Bladen…..Our goal is 100,000 pages viewed every week….and for the past few weeks we have exceeded….I had rather have little news to report than have  weeks like we have had recently with so much bad news….A close would be good, 100,000 would be great….

News you can use.
