1. Bladen County Schools: System on Thursday is operating on an asynchronous remote learning day because of possible conditions from Tropical Storm Idalia. In-person classes are expected to resume Friday.
2. Fun Day: Sept. 9, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Bladenboro Historical Building, 818 S. Main Street, Bladenboro. Bounce houses, vendors, concessions, tours and more. Proceeds help support Bladenboro Historical Society.
3. Summer Concert: Sept. 9, 8-11 p.m., The Grand Regal, 1608 White Lake Road, White Lake. Free. Performance by Riggsbee Road. Information: 910-862-4064 or thegrandregal.com.
