Here are three things to know for Tuesday, Jan. 3:
1. School’s Back In: Today. Sorry, kids, but Bladen County public school students return to classes to begin the second semester. Schools had been closed for Christmas break since Dec. 19.
2. High School Basketball: Today. East Bladen is home against Clinton in a Southeastern Conference games. West Bladen travels to Whiteville for non-conference games. Junior varsity boys’ games begin at 4:30 p.m. followed by varsity girls about 6 p.m. and varsity boys about 7:30 p.m.
3. Bladen County Commissioners Meeting: Today, 6:30 p.m., Commissioners’ Room located on the lower level of the courthouse in Elizabethtown. (READ MORE)
