The Town of White Lake Mayor, Goldston Womble, confirmed today the annual White Lake Water Festival scheduled for the third weekend in May has been postponed.
“Instead of canceling it all together we may try to have it in the latter part of August,” Mayor Womble stated.
After discussion with White Lake’s Mayor, Goldston Womble, the Chamber Board felt that postponing the festival until the end of the summer season would allow more people to visit the town once the pandemic is over.
The 42nd Annual White Lake Water Festival was scheduled for May 15th and 16th, 2020. Due to the Governor’s Executive Order and the COVID 19 pandemic, the Elizabethtown – White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce has postponed the White Lake Water Festival from its original date of May 15 and 16 until Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22, according to Terri Dennison, Director of the Chamber.
The Annual Elizabethtown Rotary Club Golf Tournament to be held at the Vineyard Golf Course scheduled for Friday, May 15, 2020, in conjunction with the White Lake Water Festival has been postponed as well, according to Anne Beyer, President of the club.
