East Bladen High SchoolLAURINBURG –Junior Greyson Heustess recorded a ‘Hat Trick’ plus one Thursday night to lead East Bladen to an 8-1 non-conference men’s soccer victory over Scotland.

Sophmore Jake Evans, senior Brooks McGill, freshman Jay McKoy and junior Pierce Melvin added one goal each for the Eagles.

Senior Caleb Hatchell dished out 2 assists to lead the East Bladen playmakers. Junior Ezequiel Arteaga, Heustess, Pierce Melvin, Evans, McKoy, junior Irvin Hernandez, sophmore Gabe Barber and McGill.

Evans racked up 15 steals to lead the Eagle defense. Gabe Barber came up with 13 steals, and Arteaga finished with 12 steals. McGill, Heustess, freshman Garrett Melvin, junior Keshaun Davis and junior Dan Tatum were credited with 10 steals each.

Junior Spencer Scott made 3 saves in goal for the Eagles who raised their record to 8-1 and will host Whiteville Monday in a key Three Rivers Conference game.
