East Bladen High School
ELIZABETHTOWN – East Bladen defeated St. Pauls 3-1 Thursday night in Three Rivers Conference jayvee soccer action.
Freshman Jay McKoy fired in the first Eagle goal off of an assist from sophmore Jay McGill in the seventh minute. East Bladen led 1-0 at halftime.
Early in the second half freshman Will Hester sent a corner kick into freshman Jackson Bostic who knocked in the goal for a 2-0 lead.
McGill recorded his second assist of the game when he sent a pass to Hester who blasted a hard shot past the keeper from 18 yards out.
St. Pauls scored in the 64th minute to trim the Eagle lead to 3-1.
Coach Jay Raynor’s Eagle jayvees improved to 2-0-1 in league play and 4-0-2 overall. East Bladen leads Whiteville by a game in the league jayvee standings.
