ELIZABETHTOWN – A 14-4 closing run carried St. Pauls to a 43-27 Three Rivers Conference jayvee boys basketball victory over East Bladen Monday night.

After the Bulldogs bolted to a 12-2 first period lead, East Bladen’s Corey McKoy bombed in a pair of 3-point shots that rallied the Eagles to within 19-12 at halftime.

Corey McKoy nailed another 3-point shot in the third period, and teammate Tayshaun Berkeley dropped in a pair of baskets. Rasean McKoy threw in a basket and a free throw as the Eagles closed the gap to 29-23 after 3 quarters.

Corey McKoy led the Eagle scoring with 10 points, and Berkeley followed with 8 points.

EAST BLADEN (27) – Charles Brown 2, Jaquez McKoy, Allen Owens 3, Tayshaun Berkeley 8, Lefrederick Wooten, Charles Dixon, Doneven Keith, Orlando Murchison, Corey McKoy 10, Makhi Cromartie, Juwan Baldwin 2, Rasean McKoy 2, Rashard Willis.

In Friday night’s 38-24 loss to Fairmont, the Eagle jayvees were led by Berkeley with 8 points. Teammate Rasean McKoy pumped in 6 points.
