BLADENBORO – Hunter Hester pitched a 3-inning no-hitter and struck out eight batters to lead the Bladenboro Reds to a 21-0 victory over Clarkton Thursday night in Bladen County Dixie Youth Baseball Minor League action.
Hester walked 3 batters and hit one. At the plate Hester slammed a first-inning single and scored twice.
Shortstop Jackson Pait knocked in 3 runs with a first-inning triple and scored 3 runs for the Reds. Catcher Weston Hilburn smashed a run-scoring double and scored a run.
Centerfielder Ryan Dove batted 2-2 and scored 2 runs for the winners. Secondbaseman Jackie Combs belted a single to left and scored twice. Firstbaseman Braylen Merritt smacked a first-inning single and scored 3 runs.
Blake Britt, Deiken Moretz, Paiton Bordeaux and Kendell Lesane scored two runs each for the Reds.
