BLADENBORO – West Bladen rallied in the final set to complete a 3-0 sweep of South Robeson Tuesday night in Three Rivers Conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-21, 25-22 and 26-24.

South Robeson had built a 24-17 lead in the final set, but the Lady Knights won a side-out, and sophmore Shelby Pharr then served out the match winning 8 consecutive service points. Pharr drilled in an ace on match point.

Pharr finished with 8 service points, 4 aces and 3 kills in the match. Senior Raegan Davis hammered in 10 kills, 4 aces and 4 service points and totaled 7 assists, 4 solo blocks and 2 digs.

Junior Lexie Corrothers pounded in 9 kills, 5 service points and 2 aces for the winners. Junior Mikayla Meadows knocked in 4 kills, 4 aces, 2 service points and 2 solo blocks.

Senior Caroline Davis led the Lady Knight defense with 25 digs. Junior Jordan Benson dished out 6 assists and contributed 5 service points and a kill. Sophmore Sidnee Walters slammed in 2 kills, an ace and 3 service points.

“The girls played much better,” said Lady Knight Coach Gaye Davis. “Our serves were much better.“

West Bladen improved to 3-1 in league play and 4-1 overall. The Lady Knights will host Cape Fear Academy Wednesday in a non-conference match.
