On Thanksgiving, November 22, Clarkton United Methodist Church conducted its fourth annual God’s Bounty ministry. Turkey dinners were prepared and given to anyone that is hungry. The meals can be eaten at the church, delivered to a site or can be picked up and carried out. The church began serving meals at 11 a.m. and continued until the food ran out. This year, between 200-250 turkey dinners were served.
The Clarkton United Methodist Church family is thankful for the assistance of Cape Fear Teen Challenge, Like Home Catering, Bluefield UMC, Ammon UMC, Singletary UMC, Clarkton First Baptist Church, Pilgrim Hill Church in Clarkton, Patsy and Hubert Lewis, Ann Kinlaw, Food Lion, Dollar General of Clarkton among others in helping us with this ministry.
We look forward to doing this again in 2019.
