Kelly Robeson, Bladen County Division of Aging Director is hosting a “Dementia Friends NC” information session on Friday, February 22, 2019, and is looking for local people to join in learning about dementia and helping people who are living with it in our community. It’s a one hour session to take place at the Bladen County Division of Aging, 608 McLeod St., Elizabethtown, NC from 2-3 pm. North Carolina is down one US Congressman in DC, actually two. Confusion reigns for the 9th Congressional seat due to suspected illegal activities in the November General Election. And, Congressman Walter Jones, who represents the most eastern part of North Carolina is now in a hospice facility, no announcement about his condition.
Former 9th District Congressman Robert Pittenger recently had some pointed words about another fellow NC Republican Congressman. In an Op-ed in the Charlotte Observer, earlier this week, he was quoted, “The most dangerous place in Washington is between Congressman Mark Meadows and a media camera.” Probably will not be an exchange of Christmas cards between the two come December. Pittenger lost his seat in the 2018 primary election.
