SHALLOTTE – Whiteville defeated East Bladen 10-0 Wednesday in the fifth-place game of the Touchstone Energy Diamond Beach Softball Invitational tournament.
Marissa Ivey slammed a first-inning double to drive in two runs for Whiteville.
Junior Abbie Cross batted 2-3 with a double for the Lady Eagles, and pitcher Kayleigh Raynor belted a first-inning single.
East Bladen will resume Three Rivers Conference play Tuesday at South Robeson.
