Remember Nell’s BBQ? Was located on site currently occupied by Hardees. Had a few tables in the rear for patrons who could not get all the ‘grease and grim’ off at lunch time. Popular eating place. Good food, reasonable prices.
Remember when the Post Office was located on the site currently occupied by Crescom bank? Clark Motor Company (Ford & Mercury dealer) was across the street. Registers 5 & 10 on another corner across from Bank of Elizabethtown.
Back to eating establishes. … Elizabethtown is fortunate to have so many really good places to get a good meal or a sandwich. … Melvin’s is the oldest, established in 1938, and still one of the most popular.
