Bladen County Board of Education and Clarkton School of Discovery held the annual Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 12. Mrs. Elizabeth Pope, Director of Bands lead the CSD bands to perform a variety of seasonal music.

CSD Princpal Mrs. Stephanie Norris thanked everyone for coming to the concert after she explained how proud she was of her students and fellow staff members. She then turned the stage over to Mrs. Elizabeth Pope, Dirctor of Bands.
First the CSD Beginner Band performed “Up on the Housetop”, “Jolly Ol’ St. Nick”, ” Ode to Joy”, and “Jing-A-Ling Bells”.
Then CSD Symphonic Band performed “A Christmas Sampler”, The First Noel”, and “Christmas Time is Here”.
The CSD Small Ensembles performed “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”, “O, Come, O Come Emmanuel”, “Good King Wenceslas”, Silent Night”, “Away in the Manger,” and “Angels We Have Heard On High”.
The band closed with “Jingle Bell Rock” and “Go Tell it on the Mountain”.
The performance received a standing ovation.
