The Howlers scored 4 runs in the final inning and edged the Stars 6-5 Tuesday night in the final game of Bladen Recreation’s 8-10 softball season.

Hadley Dove scored in the 1st inning to give the Howlers a 1-0 lead, but Allison Hickman answered by scoring a 2nd inning run for the Stars. The teams traded runs in the 4th inning with Maycee Kinlaw scoring for the Howlers, and Julianne DeVane scoring for the Stars.

Isabella Beard, Madelyn Hall and Avianna Whittington scored runs in the 5th inning for the Stars, while Karlee Gause, Bristol Allen, Hayleigh Simmons and Kamariah Rhodie all scored in the 5th inning as the Howlers claimed the 6-5 victory.

Hickman pitched a complete game for the Stars, while Kinlaw, Dove and Allen shared the pitching duties for the Howlers who finished the season with a 4-1 record.
