WHITEVILLE – Tar Heel defeated Elizabethtown 2-0 Thursday in Waccamaw Middle School Conference volleyball action by set scores of 26-24 and 25-19.
In the opening match Thursday, the host Central Lady Hornets posted a 2-0 victory over the Lady Panthers. West Columbus claimed a 2-0 win over the Lady Cougars by set scores of 25-18 and 25-23.
Elizabethtown, now 2-4, will travel to East Columbus Monday to play the host Lady Hawks and Central. Tar Heel improved to 2-6 and will go to West Columbus Monday to play Tabor City and Clarkton.
