ELIZABETHTOWN – Cape Fear Academy built a 4-1 lead en route to a 6-3 non-conference middle school girls’ soccer victory Monday over Emereau Bladen.
Vera Valentiner fired in the 1st Lady Aviator goal and tied the game 1-1. Cape Fear reeled off 3 straight goals to take a 4-1 lead, before Macey Potter banged in an Emereau goal to trim the margin to 4-2. Marlee Potter knocked in the final Lady Aviator goal that whittled the Cape Fear lead to 5-3.
Emereau Bladen is scheduled to visit Cape Fear Academy Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
