Junior Lexie Mendell and senior Lacey Suggs led East Bladen to a 3-0 non-conference volleyball victory over visiting St. Pauls Thursday night.
Mendell slammed in 5 kills, 3 aces and 13 service points and had one assist. Suggs fired in 6 aces, 4 kills, and 13 service points, and had one assist and a block.
Senior Claire Campbell hammered in 4 aces, 9 service points and a kill for the winners. Senior Miller Heustess knocked in 4 aces, 2 kills, 7 service points and was credited with 12 assists.
Shardajah Brown pounded in 3 aces and 7 service points for the Lady Eagles. Senior Abby Ward rang up 8 service points.
Freshman Ashley Hardin posted 2 assists and a kill. Junior Anna Grace Long swatted in 2 kills, and sophomore Hannah DeVane added a kill.
Coach Jennifer Hair’s Lady Eagles improved to 2-2 with the victory and will host Whiteville Monday.
