Spread the love

By Sonny Jones

September 11, 2001 is our generation’s date that will live in infamy. Although 21 years have past, it still is difficult to grasp the loss of life and destruction that occured that day.

The sports world came to a halt after the attacks in New York, Washington DC and Pennsylvania. It was a stark reminder that winning or losing a sports contest isn’t really as big of a deal as we often believe.

Sports also brought us back to some sense of normalcy during that time, although what was considered normal before the attacks changed forever.

Enjoy the sports contests, strive to win and root for your team, but, on this date, never forget the horrific events that took place 21 years ago. It changed our country forever and altered lives for eternity.

A four-set win over third-seeded Carlos Alcaraz will put the American in the U.S. Open finals Sunday. RESULTS: Well, the Tiafoe trained jump the right. Carlos Alcaraz won an exciting five-set match, taking the final set 6-3. Keep an eye on Tiafoe, though.
