ELIZABETHTOWN- Chatham Rigsbee and Jaden McKoy scored 2 touchdowns each to lead the Spartans to a 26-13 victory over the Tigers in Bladen Recreation 7-9 Youth Tackle Football action Tuesday night at County Park.
Rigsbee popped loose and scooted 59 yards for the 1st Spartan touchdown. McKoy ran the conversion for a 7-0 lead. Tiger quarterback Carter Sasser dashed 26 yards for a touchdown that trimmed the Spartan lead to 7-6.
Rigsbee darted 59 yards for his 2nd touchdown then ran the conversion for a 14-6 lead. Sasser answered again breaking loose on another touchdown run then carrying into the end zone for the conversion that closed the gap to 14-13.
McKoy busted through the line and galloped 50 yards for a 2nd half Spartan touchdown that pushed the lead to 20-13. McKoy later scored again on a 3-yard run to push the lead to 26-13.
It was the 1st win of the season for the Spartans, now 1-2. The Tigers will play the Gators next Tuesday.
